Tom joined the company with a broad base of experience. Not only from his 1 year of experience at a competing commercial real estate firm, but also from his agricultural background, which included owning and operating a business. Tom has been involved in all aspects of the commercial real estate business and specializes in the buying and selling of industrial properties and business opportunities.

Education and Professional Experience

Tom, a native of the Sioux Falls area, received a BS degree in Dairy Production from South Dakota State University. He has also completed courses in Ratio and Index Analysis sponsored by the South Dakota Independent Bankers' Association as well as continuing education courses in Business and Real Estate. He is currently working toward his CCIM designation.

Prior to entering the commercial real estate business, Tom spent 15 years running the family dairy operation near Brandon, South Dakota. In that capacity, he was extensively involved in soil and water conservation, community agriculture education, and numerous associations for the benefit of South Dakota agriculture.

Tom worked with Hegg Companies as a commercial sales and leasing agent for 1 year before joining NAI Sioux Falls in January, 2000. Tom specializes in the sales and leasing of industrial properties in addition to business opportunities including hotels, motels and restaurants. Tom is recognized for his honesty, integrity, and dedication to customer service.
