Born in Iowa, Chari moved to South Dakota in 1994, following her husband back to his roots. She graduated from National American University in 1998 with her Accounting Associate’s Degree. Chari has been working with accounting / bookkeeping since 1999. She has experience with cost accounting, budgeting, financial statements, corporate accounting, business management, and “has a spreadsheet for everything.” For over 13 years, she owned and operated a small business, employing 35-40 people, in Tea. In that venture, she gained experience applying for SBA 504C loans and owned/managed 2 commercial properties along with 30 storage units.
She married her husband, Scott, in 1994. They have 4 children and 2 dogs. In her free time, Chari likes to enjoy time outdoors, hang out with her family, bake and kickbox.
